The Rickard Maple Ridge Openback Banjo is a professional grade instrument meant for frailing, clawhammer and old-time banjo styles and delivers a warm, open tone. They are available with 11 or 12 inch Maple rims.
Built during 2012 in Aurora, Ontario, this Rickard Maple Ridge banjo with 11 inch pot is in very good condition with minimal wear. Recently set up at The Twelfth Fret repair shop, it plays well with a warm sound.
Sold with its original Rickard branded, arched top 'Bump' style case.
Materials and Construction
This Rickard Maple Ridge banjo has an 11 inch Maple rim with 18 tension hooks, Dobson tone ring and a Maple neck, both with a dark stained gloss finish. The Ebony fingerboard has an integrated frailing scoop, EVO Gold fretwire and three capo tacks. The position markers are Mother of Peal dots with a star at the 5th fret.
The hardware has an antiqued brass finish. The tuners are Rickard 10:1 models with black buttons. The head is a Remo Weatherking Fiberskyn.
