Whether you're curious about the current value of your cherished guitar, need a formal appraisal for insurance, or are managing a collection passed down through family, we're here to help. With decades of experience and a deep respect for every instrument’s story, we offer thoughtful, informed guidance for valuations, appraisals, and more. From vintage guitars and banjos to amps and effects, we treat each piece with the care it deserves.

Informal Valuations:   We are happy to assess your used and vintage guitars, amps and other fretted instruments. We can advise on current resale values and help arrive at realistic expectations based on condition and originality.  There are no fees charged for informal valuations.

Insurance Appraisals: We provide formal appraisal documents for Insurance purposes.  Your instruments are fully described in detail.  New and/or Vintage replacement values are stated in Canadian dollars. Our fees start at $150 per instrument and vary based on the size of the collection. We retain copy on file and will update the appraised values as needed, at no additional charge.

Insurance Claims, water and smoke damage:  We will assess your damaged collection for restoration and/or replacement plus calculate any depreciation in vintage resale value caused by said damage. All potential costs for restoration or replacement are outlined in detail for your insurance claim. There is flat $100 fee for this service, refundable if we process the claim.

Estates and Collections: We have thousands of good friends and customers with large collections of fine guitars, amps and effects.  As the years slip by, these collections are passed on to the next generation who sometimes cannot cope with the upkeep, care and humidity needs.

We can advise on appropriate current resale prices. And we can help to select which instruments should stay in the family or be sold-on to find new homes.
