Ramirez 4E Estudio Cedar Top Classical Guitar, 2006 [USED]

Here’s a Ramirez 4E Estudio Cedar top classical guitar built during 2006.  This comes via the Ramirez shop at Calle de la Paz No. 8 in Madrid near the Sol metro station, which opened in 1995.  

Built from 1990 to 2012, the Ramirez Model 4E Estudio Cedar top (or Spruce) was the top of the Ramirez Estudio line, intended for serious students of classical guitar. In 2013, it was superseded by the 4NE, and more recently by the Studio line.

A full size guitar at 652mm scale and 52.8mm nut width, the Ramirez 4E Estudio features a Red Cedar top, Indian Rosewood for the sides, back headplate and bridge, Ebony for the fingerboard, and American Cedar (Cedrela odorata) for the neck, linings, and body blocks. This model  uses a traditional ‘slipper heel’ construction tying the sides into the neck’s heel. Tuners are by Fustero, gold coloured with faux pearl buttons.

This 20 year old Ramirez Model 4E Estudio is in great condition, with a few small dings  - one behind the tie block and one near the tail block.   There an amount of finish blush on the back and on headstock.  Otherwise the finish is solid and in good condition. 

Fret wear is light, typical of nylon string guitars. This guitar plays well, and has the warm, full Ramirez tone with lots of volume and projection.

The original hard shell case is included.
