Description
Here is a lovely MV Pedulla Rapture 4 Bass guitar in very good, clean and original condition. The finish appears as a Metallic Hunter Green, with a lot of blue and teal hints in the colour.
This bass not only looks great but plays very well. Pedulla basses were well known for their high quality, playability and tone.
Sold with a non-original rectangular hard shell case.
Founded in 1975 and operating in the Boston area, at this point Rockland MA, the company closed in 1999 with Michael Pedulla's retirement.
Construction and Materials
The MV Pedulla Rapture 4 base pairs a solid Maple neck, here with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and a lightweight Eastern Maple body. The headstock is tipped back at a slight angle so string retainers are not required.
For electronics, Pedulla chose a custom-voiced Bartolini active pickup and two-band preamp set, powered by a single standard 9v battery readily accessed from the body back.
The hardware include sealed tuning gears and a rear-mount Fender style bridge with guide slots for the saddle height screws.
The pickguard is a faux mother of pearl part that goes very well with the finish.
Overall this bass is in very good condition with light fret wear, and one small chip in the headstock finish.
