Designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling, the National El Trovador Resophonic Guitar is patterned after the famous National guitars produced from 1932-1933.
Similar to its venerable predecessor, the new National El Trovador Resophonic Guitar features a large, 14.5 inch wide, 4 inch deep body built of mahogany. The body is bound in multi-layer celluloid, with a matching purfling border around the coverplate. A wood soundwell houses the resonator.
The neck is mahogany with a bound ebony fingerboard and a long 25 21/32 inch scale length, and 1.75 inch wide nut. The headstock has a rosewood overlay and the National El Trovador decal.
The National Resophonic El Trovador’s deep, unique voice has made it one of the most popular resophonic guitars in recent years.
