DESCRIPTION:
Here is a Ludwig Reisinger Romantic Classical Guitar built between 1887-1938.
Ludwig Reisinger (1863–1938) was one of the most celebrated Viennese guitar makers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He began his apprenticeship in 1877 under Ignaz Johann Bucher, a direct student of the renowned Johann Georg Stauffer. Reisinger worked with Bucher for a decade before opening his own workshop in Vienna. His instruments, often in the Romantic style, earned him a reputation as the finest Viennese luthier of his time, known for their elegance, craftsmanship, and refined tonal qualities.
This guitar is in fair condition with several repaired top cracks that are structurally sound. There are two side cracks near the neck heel, one has been stabilized, while the other remains open. The back center seam has been repaired, and there is minor separation between the back and sides in a few spots. Despite these issues, the guitar plays well with comfortable action, and the tuners function properly.
