The name of this 2005 Lowden O-32C breaks down to the Original Series, 32 trim (Spruce and Indian Rosewood), and a soft Venetian Cutaway. It has a huge voice. The 'O' is a letter, not a Zero digit!
This Lowden O-32C example is in very good condition with very light wear to the frets and satin finish. It plays well with a very comfortable action, and plenty of saddle height for future adjustments. It has a typically Lowden depth, yet with sparkling highs and fully present mids, and plenty of projection.
Overall this is an excellent instrument, in very good condition with great tone and quite comfortable to play.
Sold with its original Hiscox lightweight flight case with humidifier for maximum protection.
Lowden guitars are again (since 2003) built by the family-owned 'George Lowden Guitars' company near their home in Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland. Sought after by premium players worldwide, these instruments utilize George Lowden's uniquely recognizable acoustic designs and world-class, uncompromising construction.
Lowden O-32C Original Series Cutaway Construction and Materials
As part of the Original Series, the Lowden O-32C uses their distinctive 'Jumbo' body size, over 16 inches wide at the lower bout, and with a soft Venetian cutaway. The X-braced top is Sitka Spruce, the sides and back are Indian Rosewood (as are the head plate and bridge). The body blocks and linings are Mahogany, and the body binding is Maple. The headstock Lowden logo is a Pearloid, on some models it is a contrasting wood.
The neck is built of 3 sections of mahogany with walnut separator layers; the fingerboard is ebony (with ebony binding) and the bridge is rosewood, with a top-mount pinless design. Gold Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons and a rosewood headplate round out the headstock.
