Since building his first guitar in 1977, Carmona has dedicated his career to preserving the traditions of Spanish guitar making while refining each instrument for outstanding tone, balance, and playability. His training under respected Granada luthiers and his study of legendary makers such as Antonio de Torres, Santos Hernández, Marcelo Barbero, and Miguel Rodríguez have shaped his distinctive craftsmanship.

Each Juan Miguel Carmona flamenco guitar is individually handcrafted using carefully selected tonewoods, delivering the bright, responsive sound and fast action that flamenco musicians demand. This example features an Engelmann spruce top and cypress sides and back with a rosewood binding and  back strip. Other features include an ebony fretboard and 12 hole bridge. There is a bit of cosmetic  wear and tear on this guitar but it is playing cleanly and comes with a zippered hardshell case.
