DESCRIPTION:
This Jose Gonzalez Lopez classical guitar appears to come from a relatively early point in his career as it has no serial number. We're tentatively dating it to as late as 2010, based on its early purchase in 2011 and the style of label used. A timeless piece crafted by renowned guitarist, Jose Gonzalez Lopez. The lack of a serial number further adds to its mystique. Estimated to have been produced in 2010, it's a valuable addition to any collection.
Jose Gonzalez Lopez works out of a shop in Granada, Spain, long shared with Antonio Marín Montero and José Marín Plazuelo. His guitars are highly respected and hand built to order in the Spanish style tying the sides and neck together. This example features a European Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood for the sides, back, 12-hole bridge and head plate; the neck and body blocks are Spanish Cedar with an Ebony fingerboard. It is in overall very good condition, and plays well. Top cracks have been professionally repaired and cleated at The Twelfth Fret repair shop.
