Jackson USA Phil Collen Archtop Solidbody Electric Guitar, 1994 [USED]

Here is a Jackson USA Phil Collen Archtop Solidbody electric guitar from 1994 featuring a unique and comfortable body shape with a stunning pearl white finish.

This signature model from Def Leppard guitar Phil Collen features a carved archtop double cutaway mahogany body with long upper bout horn and one shorter lower horn. Phil helped design this body shape, presumably with ergonomics in mind, to allow the players picking arm to sits very naturally on the instrument. Very few of the USA made versions of this guitar exist, mainly due to the high labor cost for hand carving the top. A  number of years later later Japanese versions were made, and in 2014 a US custom shop reissue was produced with some slightly different specifications.

This version has a Jackson JK humbucker in the bridge and JK single coil in the neck with a single volume control and three way toggle switch. The tremolo bridge is a Jackson licensed Floyd Rose.  Classic Jackson shark fin inlays adorn the ebony fretboard. The deep carved neck joint contour allows your hand to fit in tight to the body and easily access the upper most frets. The neck profile is a fat/thick U shape which is quite different than the slimmer speed necks more commonly found on Jackson models. It has a meatier feel but is still very comfortable to play fast up the neck.

This example is in excellent overall condition with minimal play wear or fret wear.

It come with the original black rectangular hardshell case.
