Here is a Gibson RD Custom Natural from 1977. Originally released in 1977 RD stands for 'Research and Development' and was original intended for players interested in synthesizers and featured active electronics.
This particular Gibson RD Custom has had the bridge pickup replaced with a Gibson '57 Classic passive humbucker and has a maple body and maple neck and fretboard. The original bridge pickup is in the case. This guitar has seen a fair amount of playing but plays cleanly and comes with the original hardshell case.
