Description
Here's a Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded in Worn Cherry finish, built during 2018 in Nashville and in very good good physical and playing condition, showing only light fret wear and similarly light finish wear. The Worn Cherry finish is a thin Nitrocellulose Lacquer layer, with minimal to no filler used for the Mahogany back. This contributes to an 'Open Pore' appearance.
The light weight and slim taper neck make this a very comfortable guitar. If you happen to need a Les Paul (and who among us does not?) this can be a very good choice.
Sold with the original Gibson branded black gig bag.
Model Overview
The Les Paul Studio has been a very successful version of the classic design. To reduce cost and price, the body and neck are not bound, the finishes are thinner and often not gloss, and plainer woods are used. However, the hardware is the same as on higher priced models and that's what really counts.
Materials and Construction
This Les Paul Studio Faded a two-piece A-Grade Plain Maple cap on a 'Ultra Modern' weight-relieved Mahogany back. The neck is Maple with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and a 'Slim Taper' profile and acrylic dot position markers.
Hardware and Electronics
The tuners are Gibson Deluxe models with keystone buttons, and on the body an aluminum Tune-O-Matic and stop bar tailpiece are installed. Black Speed knobs are used. The pickguard is a single layer black part with chrome support.
Electronics start with a pair of uncovered, double black 490R/490T pickups. These lead to individual volume and tone controls, a three way pickup selector (no 'poker chip') and a mono output jack on a plastic mounting plate.
