Gibson Les Paul R8 Solidbody Electric Guitar, 2016 [USED]

This Gibson Les Paul R8 Solidbody electric guitar from 2016 features a sunburst finish and historic construction techniques. The R8 replicates the iconic specifications from the 1958 Les Paul.

The mahogany body has a plain maple cap which is more understated then the R9 (1959 reissue) with the figured maple. The mahogany neck has a round 50s C neck profile with a long neck tenon. This thick and round neck profile has a substantial hand feel and is great for players with larger hands.

Gibson uses historically accurate building techniques like hide-glue neck joints and aniline dye on the body binding to add to the authenticity. This model is loaded with Gibson Custom Bucker pickups which have Alnico 3 magnets for a sweet and warm tone replicating the PAF style from the 50's. 

This example is in very good overall shape with only very minor play wear. There is one small ding on the headstock. It plays cleanly up the neck, has very little fret wear, and comes with the original hardshell case.
