This Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 Reissue from 2005 was built to refer to the 1960 version of the Les Paul Standard and features a slim taper neck and very little weight relief.
The Gibson Les Paul Classic follows the usual pattern of a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany back, set Mahogany neck and bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The carve of the top is a little more pronounced than the slightly flatter R series, and the neck is slimmer. The 490R and 500T pickups on the Les Paul classic tended to be a fairly high output with an aggressive midrange and are great for heavy rock styles.
This example is in very good overall condition with only a bit of minor cosmetic play wear and hard wear tarnish. A couple of the machine heads have been replaced due to broken buttons, the originals are in the case. It is set up well and playing cleanly up the neck.
