Gibson J-45 ADJ Acoustic Guitar Natural, 1959 [USED]

This Gibson J-45 ADJ, built in 1959, is a classic example of Gibson’s iconic slope-shouldered dreadnought design during a pivotal period in the company’s history.

Handcrafted in the USA and finished in natural nitrocellulose lacquer, this model features Gibson’s distinctive adjustable bridge, a design introduced in the late 1950s to give players on-the-fly control over action height. Built with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it offers a warm, woody tone with the dry midrange punch that Gibson acoustics are known for. The natural aging of the nitro finish adds a vintage patina and visual charm that reflects its long musical life.

This example is in good condition, with some wear marks, finish checking, small dings, and surface scratches, all typical for an instrument of this age. Despite the wear, it plays very well and remains structurally solid and has a well balanced, clean tone. The adjustable bridge is fully functional and allows for action tweaks.
