This Fret King Black Label JD Solidbody electric guitar from 2011 is a signature model for Jerry Donahue.
The Black Label series from Fret King guitars are designed in the UK and assembled in India. This guitar is based on the classic T style single cutaway body with some subtle changes to the contours. In addition Jerry wanted stratocaster style pickups so this guitar is loaded with Seymour Duncan APTL-3JD in the bridge and APS-2JD in the neck position with a five way pickup selector for additional tones. The natural ash top veneer looks great and has minimal cosmetic wear. The maple neck has a custom soft V profile with a vintage 7.25 fretboard radius.
This unique guitar is in great overall shape, is playing cleanly up the neck with a low to medium action height. It comes with the original Tweed hardshell case.
