Here we're looking at an excellent condition, Fender MIJ Traditional '60s Jazzmaster in the subtle and understated Pink Paisley finish! This pristine example dates to June of 2018 and is in original condition except for the pickups and case. The pickups have been upgraded with a Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster set, and the originals are in the replacement, brown rectangular G&G Fender branded hard shell case along with the pickup documentation and the trem arm. All are in excellent condition with only the lightest wear. It plays very well and to my hands these are some of the most comfortable necks made.
Following closely to the original design and materials, the Fender MIJ Traditional '60s Jazzmaster is built with an Alder body and Maple neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

Introduced in 1958, the Fender Jazzmaster was one of the Fender's first to carry a Rosewood fingerboard. The Rosewood feature was intended to capture jazz players, who were largely Gibson customers. In this it was not successful, instead attracting the emerging Surf wave. After that, it regained popularity during the 80's in the hands of artists like Elvis Costello, and again in the 90'with the Indie crowd.
The Paisley finish appeared in 1968 and 1969 to appeal to the 'Flower Power' aesthetic of the day, and was available primarily on Telecaster and Telecaster Bass models, as their lack of body contours made the finish application easier. An early adopter was James Burton while playing with Elvis Presley. Both Pink Paisley and Blue Flower versions were made, using commercially available wallpaper under an edge-shaded finish. It has since been used on other models in various reissues, like the Jazzmaster seen here.
