DESCRIPTION:
Here is a Fender American Vintage 62 Reissue Stratocaster electric guitar from 1982 built in the Fullerton plant. This example is in good overall shape with some cosmetic wear including lacquer checking and a few dings and chips in the finish. It comes with the original tweed hardshell case which has all of the original paperwork, trem arm, cable, strap and 5 way pickup switch for the players that prefer this option to the original 3 way switch.
The Fender reissues from the Fullerton Era were the first ever made in 1982-1984.Many players and collectors consider them as the closest to the pre-CBS original Strats. This is due to them being made by hand, using the same methods, templates and even tools as the pre-CBS ones. They were only produced between 1982 and 1984, before Fender moved from Fullerton to Corona in 1985 (where also CNC machinery production was implemented and replaced hand crafting).
