The original black rectangular ESP branded hard shell case is included, and contains the ESP-LTD user booklet and warranty card, case key, allen keys for the truss rod (4mm) and saddle height (1.5mm). The case is also in excellent condition.
Jon Donais has spent years shaping the Metal genre both as a founding member of Shadows Fall and with Anthrax as lead guitarist. The JD-600 was designed to deliver high output performance and rock-solid stability.
ESP-LTD JD-600 Jon Donais Signature Construction and Materials
The ESP-LTD JD-600 Jon Donais Signature model uses a set-through construction for the neck joint, allowing a comfortable sculpted heel with easy access to the full length of the fingerboard. 'Set-Through' is a neck joint proprietary to ESP-LTD and consists of a very long neck tenon that may go as far as the bridge, fitted into a mortise channel routed from the top, but not visible from the back. On a guitar like this LTD JD-600, the flamed Maple top is then installed. This technique provides excellent stability and fret access, but unlike a traditional set neck, it cannot be disassembled in the event of heavy damage.
The ESP-LTD JD-600 pairs a Mahogany body and neck with a bookmatched, flame maple cap, and an Ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard has position dots on the bass side of the neck and a single inlay: an engraved Mother of Pearl block reading "JD-600".
The headstock is a 'Reverse' style with LTD branded locking tuners on what would be the treble side. The bridge is a fixed, hard tail Gotoh model strung through the back. The nut is graphite.
The electronics are simple. There is a pair of EMG active pickups - an EMG 81 at the neck and EMG 85 at the bridge - and their output goes to a 3-way selector switch. The switch output goes to a volume control, and then the output jack.
