DESCRIPTION:
This Deering Eagle II 5 String Banjo dates to August 2017 at Deering's workshop in Spring Valley California. It is in very good, clean condition with just a bit of light finish scuffing and light fret wear.
These are excellent, professional grade instruments: well built, durable and reliable.
The original Deering branded hard shell case is included, and contains the clip-together strap.
Model History and Construction
The Deering Eagle II was launched in 2009 to showcase Deering's then-new, patented tone Twenty-Ten ring. The "Twenty-Ten" name references twenty years of development to deliver a 'Perfect 10' tone.
Along with the new 20-10 tone ring, the Eagle II features an Eagle flange and notched brass tension hoop, 11 inch 3-Ply Violin Grade Maple rim and Maple laminate resonator. The neck is Maple with an Ebony fingerboard and engraved Mother of Pearl inlays. The head carries a set of Deering tuners, the frosted head carries a 5/8" Deering Smile Bridge and the tailpiece is a Deering TrueTone part. All metal parts are Nickel plated.
