The Charvel Model 5A 1H is one of the most sought-after guitars from Charvel's legendary late-1980s Japanese Model Series. Built in Japan between 1988 and 1989, the Model 5A 1H features a neck-through maple construction, 24-fret compound-radius fingerboard, locking tremolo, and a single high-output bridge humbucker for maximum sustain, speed, and aggressive tone.

Designed during the height of the shred era, the 5A delivers everything players expect from a premium '80s superstrat: fast playability, exceptional upper-fret access, rock-solid tuning stability, and the unmistakable Charvel feel that made these guitars famous.

This example features a purple gloss finish and is in very good overall shape. The original tremolo has been replaced with a Gotoh trem and locking nut. The original nut and lock system is in the case. The original Jackson high gain pickup has been replaced with an EMG humbucker. This guitar is currently set up for Drop C# tuning and plays well up the neck. It comes with a non original black hardshell case.
