Here is a Cesar Vera Vihuela from 1971. The Vihuela is a guitar shaped instrument developed in 15th-century Spain and peaked during the 16th-century Golden Age across Spain, Portugal, and Italy. It features 6 double course strings tuned like a Renaissance lute in fourths with a major third. (G–C–F–A–D–G) Originally these instruments would have had tied on gut frets but this version from 1971 uses bone frets.
This Cesar Vera is in good shape for its age. The body pairs a cedar top with rosewood sides and back. There a beautiful intricately carved wood pattern at the sound hole. It shows some minor play wear, a few scratches on the top and a small side crack. The bone frets show some wear under the wound strings but aren't causing any significant playability concerns.
It comes with a light brown hardshell case. The handle has been repaired with tape.
