Alhambra 10 Premier Classical Guitar supersedes the model 10P, with an updated 11-piece fan ‘Chinese House’ bracing pattern and a 12-hole tie block for improved downbearing at the saddle.
Intended for the highly advanced student and semi-professional guitarist, the Alhambra 10 Premier Classical Guitar rivals the Linea Professional for playability, responsiveness and tone. Its new fan bracing provides a stiffer yet lighter top, in the same way that lattice bracing does, and works well with the red cedar top to improve articulation, clarity, projection and volume.
Constructed in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, in the eastern part of Spain south of Valencia, the 10 Premiere model uses traditional woods and techniques. The Spruce-braced top is solid Red Cedar paired with solid Indian Rosewood for the back, sides, headplate and bridge. The neck, coupled to the body by a characteristic Spanish ‘slipper foot’ heel, is Cedro or Spanish Cedar, with an Ebony fingerboard. The tuners are top quality, and built specifically for Alhambra. The fingerboard is extended slightly over the soundhole to provide an extra ‘half fret’.
