The Suhr Telecaster acknowledges John Suhr who began his journey over 35 years ago in New Jersey, driven by a quest for perfect tone during his early days as a musician. He starting building guitars and collaborated with Rudy Pensa in the 1980's. Their iconic "Pensa-Suhr" guitars became favored by legends like Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler.

After pioneering tube amp design with Robert Bradshaw in 1991, John later joined the Fender Custom Shop, where he honed his skills as a Senior Master Builder for renowned musicians. In 1997, he fulfilled his dream by establishing his own custom guitar factory, producing instruments of unrivaled quality and attention to detail.

This Suhr Telecaster in Tobacco Burst is a Classic T design with custom pickups; single coil/single coil/humbucker. The 60's C standard profile neck, locking tuners and contoured body make it both comfortable and reliable to play.
