DESCRIPTION:
The PRS CE 24, "Classic Electric" with 24 frets, entered production in 1988 and is still offered with only minor changes.
Using the distinctive double cutaway body design with carved Maple top and Alder back (Mahogany since 1995 except for 2008), the CE 24 adds a bolt-on Maple neck with Wide Thin neck carve, dot-inlay Indian rosewood fingerboard, locking tuners and a vintage-style PRS trem bridge.
This PRS CE 24 was built during 1994 at Stevensville, Maryland and is in good working condition with some honest play wear. Fret wear is light to moderate and there is light buckle rash on the back; the neck has light wear. As a 1994 model, the body back is Alder. For electronics, a set of HFS/Vintage Bass pickups feed to a four-way rotary selector switch and Master Volume and Tone controls.
The finish looks like Translucent Amber, a faded Vintage Yellow, or perhaps an extremely faded 'Whale Blue', with black knobs; the hardware is nickel-plated.
It is very comfortable to play, and the short neck heel aids access to the upper frets.
The original black rectangular hard shell case is included.
