Here is a Oahu Square Neck Acoustic Guitar from the 30's.
Originally manufactured by the Oahu Music Company in the 1920s and 1930s, the Oahu lap guitar was a favorite among both beginners and seasoned musicians due to its affordability and the company’s widespread mail-order distribution. These instruments helped popularize the Hawaiian music craze in the U.S. and beyond, and they remain prized by collectors and musicians who appreciate their vintage charm and warm, mellow tones.
This particular model has a gold leaf decal trim on a tobacco burst finish. It does have some signs of it's age, mainly lacquer checking, scratches, dents and chips. It is and interesting piece nonetheless.
