DESCRIPTION:
Here is a Martin HD-28VS built in 1999. This slot-head dreadnought from Martin’s Vintage Series is crafted to reflect the tone and aesthetics of the company’s prewar era guitars. It features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides and is highlighted with herringbone purfling and vintage-style detailing throughout. The neck has a distinct modified V profile, offering a classic, substantial feel. An ebony fingerboard with diamond inlays and a vintage belly bridge with a long drop-in saddle completes the traditional look. With forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing and open-gear tuners, the HD‑28VS delivers a rich, balanced tone with excellent projection and warmth ideal for both flatpicking and fingerstyle.
This particular example is in very good condition with some minor cosmetic wear marks from use. It plays cleanly across the fretboard and remains structurally sound. Finished in natural nitrocellulose lacquer, it comes with its original hard shell case.
