Here is a Marshall MK2 Lead 50W Head and 4x12 cabinet from 1976. This particular example was used by Canadian rockers Platinum Blonde. At some point in its life the tolex was stripped off and it was painted black with a slight sparkle in the finish. The logos are missing as well.
The cabinet is loaded with Celestion G-12M 12" speakers. This amp has that distinctive midrange roar and crack that have made Marshall amps rock legends.
If you are looking for a definitive rock tone you can't do much better than this.
