This is the Guild Bluegrass D-35 SB, Sunburst, made in 1982 in Westerly, Rhode Island. It is generally in good condition, with some signs of wear from use and minor finish imperfections. The top has some pick scratches and dents, indicating that this guitar has been played. Fret wear is moderate, mainly in the lower positions under the high strings. The action is well-adjusted and there is ample saddle for future adjustments.
The Guild Bluegrass D-35 SB , built from 1968 to 1988, was a full size Mahogany body dreadnought. Based on the D-40 but with simpler trim, these pieces of acoustic artillery delivered bluegrass tone with plenty of volume to compete with banjos.
These models paired a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks, linings and neck. The bridge and unbound fingerboard are Indian Rosewood. Guild branded tuners are installed, and there are no electronics.
The original hard shell case is included.
