Here is a Gitane DG-320 Modele John Jorgenson built in 2012. This is a beautiful and versatile gypsy jazz guitar, known for its rich tone and elegant craftsmanship. The Gitane brand was introduced by Saga Music as a more affordable alternative to Selmer/Maccaferri guitars which were popularized by their association with Gypsy jazz legend Django Reinhardt. This model was created in collaboration with John Jorgenson, a versatile musician and established Gitane user. As part of Gitane's line of Django Reinhardt-inspired guitars, the DG-320 was designed to deliver the vibrant sound associated with traditional gypsy jazz music while catering to modern players. Like the DG-300, this model was designed in collaboration with the renowned guitarist, John Jorgenson.

 The DG-320 features a ‘Grande Bouche’ or large D-shaped soundhole, giving it a warm tone with plenty of attack. It features a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides, contributing to a bright, resonant sound. The neck is mahogany and on this particular model has been professionally recontoured and re-fretted, giving it a comfortable profile, designed for ease of playability. With a 26.5inch scale length, it provides a comfortable reach for both rhythm and lead playing. It is in great overall shape and comes with a Volkert pickup, making it ideal for live performance.
