When the ukulele was introduced to America, it quickly gained popularity, catching the attention of instrument makers such as Gibson and Martin. As a result, the Gibson Uke-1 was launched in 1927 and remained in production for several decades.
This later model is in good condition other then some minor cosmetic scratches and play wear marks. It is made from mahogany and comes with a non original black European hardshell case. It has a good amount of volume with a warm midrange tone provided by the mahogany body. It plays well and the tuner are in good working condition.
