DESCRIPTION:
This Gibson J-185 acoustic guitar from 2012 is of high-quality and embodies the classic craftsmanship and tone of Gibson’s long-standing tradition. Part of the J-series, it features a rounded, jumbo-style body that delivers a full, rich sound with plenty of volume and projection. Its solid Sitka spruce top and solid maple back and sides provide a balanced tone with clear highs and warm lows, making it a versatile choice for both strumming and fingerpicking.
The J-185's design includes a comfortable 24.75" scale length and a slim taper neck, allowing for easier playability and faster fretboard access. The guitar also boasts elegant cosmetic details, including multi-ply binding, a tortoiseshell pickguard, and a distinctive soundhole rosette. This model is ideal for both professional musicians and serious enthusiasts. The J-185 offers a similar tonal quality to the J-200 with a slightly smaller, more manageable body size.
It has a Fishman Aura pickup system and is in excellent overall shape. The Fishman Aura pickup system combines the classic preamp with up to four onboard acoustic images. You can blend between the standard pickup and the aura images for a variety of tonal possibilities. Original Gibson hard-shell case is included.
