DESCRIPTION:
Here is the latest creation from Fintan McEnroe, an MC19 F-style mandolin, which was completed in April 2024. Fintan McEnroe operates out of Toronto but hails from Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland. He has been making quality mandolins for over 10 years. The ‘19’ in the model name denotes the serial number and production sequence of the mandolin.
The Fintan McEnroe F-Style MC19 Mandolin is a classic F-Style mandolin, featuring a carved Sitka Spruce top and Curly Maple for the sides, neck, and carved back. The fingerboard and bridge are made of Ebony, and the neck includes an adjustable truss rod. The fingerboard has a 12 inch radius with Mother of Pearl inlays. The body is adorned with double-layer faux-tortoise binding. The dark sunburst is a hand-rubbed stain with a lacquer finish.
For hardware, the mandolin is equipped with high-quality Rubner tuners with Snakewood buttons and inserts at the headstock, and a Golden Age tailpiece at the opposite end. The Ebony bridge is individually compensated for each string, and the nut is made of Bone.
Position markers are simple dots, and the headstock features a FinMc logo and a unique inlay. Overall, the Fintan McEnroe MC19 is a meticulously crafted instrument, boasting clean build quality and an elegant finish. Its sound and playability are as exceptional as its appearance.
