Description
Here's a well preserved, stock Fender Telecaster Blonde with black pickguard, dating to 1976 and built in Fullerton, California during the CBS era. Wear is light, and the guitar plays quite well. The neck profile is a comfortable, fuller C shape.
The original Fender hard shell case is included.
Materials and Construction
Following the original pattern, this guitar pairs a Maple neck with Walnut 'skunk stripe' to a very light Ash body - this is one of the lightest non-thinline Telecasters we've seen.
The neck has the truss rod adjuster at the body end; while the 'Bullet' head-end adjuster appeared on 1972 Telecaster Custom and Deluxe models, the standard models didn't receive this until the early 1980's.
The body finish is a partly translucent blonde, with the filled grain just visible. It has a few light marks on the back while the neck finish is very clean, and there is light to moderate fret wear primarily in the low positions.
Hardware and Electronics
The tuning machines are the stock 'F' stamped models, and the bridge is the traditional three-saddle part, designed for through-body stringing. The pickups, pots, switch and output jack are original. The only non-original part is the pickup switch tip!
