DESCRIPTION:
The Fender Custom Deluxe Telecaster was introduced by the Custom Shop in early 2010, offering a range of subtle improvements. These include an improved six-saddle bridge with chrome plated brass saddles, staggered non-locking vintage style tuners, contoured heel on a one-piece Ash body, and a Birds-Eye maple 22-fret neck with abalone position marker dots. The fretwire is taller than the 'vintage' style on a flatter radius fingerboard, providing a much more positive grip.
As stock, the neck pickup is a Twisted Tele and the bridge a Hot NoCaster. Here, the bridge pickup has been changed to a '51 NoCaster model; the original pickup is in the neck pocket of the very nice creme G&G rectangular hard shell case.
The finish is a translucent blonde in nitrocellulose lacquer, with clear lacquer on the neck allowing the figuring to be plainly visible.
Overall this Fender Custom Deluxe Telecaster is in good shape. The body finish has a few small dings and chips around the edges, as often happens with real use. Fret wear is light, and the guitar plays well and cleanly.
The original rectangular G&G hard shell case is included.
