Epiphone 1984 Explorer EX Electric Guitar, 2018 [USED]

This Epiphone 1984 Explorer EX electric guitar from 2018 is an iconic metal machine. It has a solid body explorer shape and shares most of its design elements from its original 1984 version including a rosewood fretboard and EMG 81 and 85 humbuckers.

The Epiphone pots on this example have been upgraded and changed to two volume controls which is James Hetfield's preference. A long time explorer player James Hetfield has used EMG pickups and this electronic setup to provide the crushing rhythm tones for Metallica for decades.

This Epiphone 1984 Explorer EX is in great overall shape with very minor playwear and comes with a black hardshell case.
