Here is a David Wren Concert Cutaway Acoustic Guitar from 1989, a wonderful example of David's work.
Construction and Condition
This guitar features a classic tone wood pairing of Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood along with a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard and bridge.
The elegant and characteristic Wren inlay on the 5th fret and abalone rosette provide the perfect visual contrast to the natural woods. The concert sized body is very comfortable to play and provides a very well balanced tone with lush overtones. The deep cutaway and treble side fingerboard extension allow great access to these upper frets.
This particular example of David Wren's work has some significant play wear but it is cosmetic and not structural. The finish has some staining, a natural result of years of playing. Fret wear is light to medium, with some matching fingerboard wear.
This guitar's tone has really opened up with extended playing time and the resulting sweet warmth along with great clarity and sustain makes for a very engaging tonal experience!!
Sold with its original hard shell case.
