Part of the Boucher Bluegrass Goose Series, the BG-52 is a meticulously crafted dreadnought acoustic guitar, designed specifically to meet the rigorous demands of bluegrass guitarists. Made in Canada, it showcases a blend of exceptional tonewoods and craftsmanship that delivers a powerful, nuanced sound. This particular model has some additional features from Bouchers Gold Touch Pack as denoted by the G at the end of the model title.

This BG-52 has a AAAA Adirondack red spruce top, chosen by Robin Boucher for its superior tonal qualities. The top, combined with Adirondack red spruce bracing and a forward-shifted X-brace pattern, provides the rich low end, driving mids and beefy highs synonymous with the Boucher bluegrass sound. Additionally, as part of the Gold Touch pack, this guitars top has been torrefied using a process developed in 2010 by Boucher Guitars, in collaboration with Laval University in Quebec.This innovative roasting process speeds up the aging of Adirondack red spruce soundboards by removing lignin while preserving the wood’s essential components, cellulose and hemicellulose, resulting in enhanced tonal quality without compromising the wood’s core properties, giving the guitar a mature, distinguished sound.

The body is constructed from East Indian rosewood, known for its robust and balanced tonal characteristics. The guitar’s high-gloss finish highlights the beauty of the wood and adds to its visual appeal. It is equipped with Premium Gotoh open gear tuners. These are gold plated, another feature of the Gold Touch Pack, and ensure precise tuning stability. The neck is South American mahogany with a solid ebony soundboard. With an elevated soundboard radius, unique neck profile, and satin finish, this guitar is incredibly comfortable to play, whether you're strumming chords or flatpicking intricate solos. A high-quality tweed hardshell case is included.

This BG-52-G is a versatile and high-performance instrument with standout craftsmanship, tonal depth, and playability. It is in excellent overall condition with some very minor play wear marks and dings. It is ideal for both studio and live settings.
