DESCRIPTION:
From 2008 for Martin's 175th Anniversary, this Martin Vintage Series D-18V Sunburst with an installed K&K Pure Mini pickup set is in very good, clean condition with only light wear to the frets and finish. It has a full, rich and evenly balanced sound with plenty of high end sparkle.
Following the classic D-18 formula, the Martin Vintage Series D-18V 175th Anniversary Sunburst, features Sitka Spruce for the top and bracing, Central American Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck, Indian Rosewood for the headplate, and Ebony for the vintage style through-saddle bridge and unbound fingerboard. The body binding is faux tortoise, a nice touch. The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer and is in very good, clean condition. ;The tuners are Martin branded open-gear models with 'butterbean' buttons.
Sold with its original Geib style hardshell case.
The Martin Vintage Series was built from 1996 to 2011, replaced by the 'Authentic' series, which focused on reproducing specific historical examples.
