Gibson Dove Square Shoulder Dreadnought Cherry Burst, 2022 [USED]

The Gibson Dove square shoulder dreadnought appeared in 1962 as third to top of the line, just below the J-200 and Hummingbird and all three models have stayed in the product lines.

The Dove is structurally similar to the Hummingbird, but uses Maple instead of Mahogany for the sides and back, making for a brighter tone. The Dove also has a longer scale length, listed as 25.5 inches, than the Hummingbird's listed 24.75 inches. Of course the Dove features the classic hand-painted engraved pickguard with an inlaid Dove in engraved Mother of Pearl. The split-parallelogram position markers, headstock Gibson logo and bridge 'Dove' inlays are also Mother of Pearl.The tuners are nickel-plated Grover Roto-Matic models with metal 'keystone' buttons.

This beautiful Gibson Dove Square Shoulder Dreadnought dates to February 21 2022 at Bozeman, Montana and is in very good, clean condition. Its original L R Baggs pickup system has been replaced with a passive Schatten pickup, likely the UST-1.  The L R Baggs pickup and accessories are in the case along with a spare saddle and D'Addario humidification pack.  

The original brown hard shell case is included, in good condition though the leather handle could be replaced.
