DESCRIPTION:
Now discontinued, the Eastman T145 SM thinline archtop electric guitar was designed as the ideal club jazz guitar, featuring a small comfortable body, and a fully carved Spruce top and Mahogany back.
It delivers plenty of acoustic volume yet has a small enough internal displacement to make it ideal for stage use, reducing or eliminating the troublesome feedback issues associated with full body archtops.
Condition and Construction
Dating to 2006, this Eastman T145 SM is in very good, original physical and playing condition with very light wear to the finish and frets. The original hard shell case is included.
The slim-line 1.75 inch deep sided body ( 2.75 inch deep at the bridge) and 15″ lower bout, and its 24.75 inch (628.6mm) scale length are reminiscent of the Ibanez George Benson guitar.
The guitar features a carved Spruce top with Mahogany for the sides and carved back, and the neck is Maple with a bound Ebony fingerboard. It is finished in Nitrocellulose lacquer with a simple, elegant violin stain. The Bridge, tailpiece, and pickguard are Ebony. Tuners are sealed Gotoh models with a gold finish.
The single top-mounted Eastman Humbucker in the neck position ensures maximum volume with more true body resonance and feedback reduction. This Eastman proprietary pickup was designed by Kent Armstrong and has a great track record as a jazz guitar pickup. Volume and tone controls are top-mounted and the output jack is on the side.
