The controls are mounted to the bass side of the soundhole, and the battery bag is near the neck block. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall this guitar is in good physical condition with signs of having been used for its intended purpose.  The French Polish finish is naturally light, and the top shows some wear from fingernail pressure like tapping.  A \u003ca title=\"Golpeador\" href=\"https:\/\/shop.12fret.com\/products\/alhambra-golepeador-premium-grade-spanish-made-tap-plate%20\"\u003eGolpeador \u003c\/a\u003e (thin plastic tap plate) would prevent further damage, and a separate small plate behind the bridge tie block will protect that area.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSold with a newer black TKL hard shell Case. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a ‘Crossover’ style instrument, the Kenny Hill Curva Negra has a soft Venetian cutaway allowing increased access to the upper registers, and a very gently crowned fingerboard. These modifications help the guitar fit better into fingerstyle, Jazz, Latin and Bossa Nova genres, as well as traditional Classical styles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eConstruction and Materials \u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKenny Hill is fundamentally a classical guitar builder, and leans heavily on Spanish style construction.  The body to neck joints tend to be integrated, with the sides slotting into the heel rather than using a dovetail or mortise and tenon joint. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe soft Venetian cutaway is of course a major departure from tradition, but offers considerably improved access to the upper registers. As another advancement, this instrument is equipped with an adjustable truss rod, accessed through the sound hole.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Kenny Hill Curva Negra guitar pairs a Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for sides and back, headplate, bridge and body binding. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe body blocks, neck and linings are Spanish Cedar, with Ebony for the fingerboard.
