The body binding is Maple. The neck joint is a hybrid tenon style, with a single bolt visible through the soundhole.  This style of joint makes neck resets much easier, faster and consequently less expensive. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis 1981 David Wren Studio model also has a single-element piezo pickup made by the late Brian Miller at The Twelfth Fret installed to the top at the bass side of the X brace with an endpin jack.  The rest of the hardware includes Schaller tuners, a bone nut and saddle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a copper foil layer on the Indian Rosewood bridge plate to allow for a pickup system bridge ground.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow retired, David Wren built since the 1970’s, after apprenticing (like so many of Canada’s top luthiers) with Jean Larrivee.  His work is very highly respected. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMany Studio models were built during David's time at The Millwheel at Yonge and Elm, which closed in the mid-1980's, after which he became a partner at The Twelfth Fret. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ctable style=\"width: 100%;
